Cementerio San José, Granada, 15.8.1936, 5:00
Manuel Carmona Ruiz, 35, metalúrgico y sindicalista se presentó voluntariamente ante las autoridades, fue acusado de tenencia ilícita de armas y ejecutado el 15.8.1936 a las 5 de la madrugada en las proximidades del cementerio. Entre 1936 y 1956 fueron ejecutadas 3.969 personas en las tapias del cementerio, entre ellos dos alcaldes, un juez municipal, varios catedráticos y el rector de la universidad de la Universidad de Granada. En 1956 Ricardo Beneito Sopena fue el último fusilado en el cementerio.
Manuel Carmona Ruiz, 35, metallurgist and trade unionist who voluntarily presented himself before the authorities, was accused of illegal possession of weapons and executed on 15.8.1936 at 5 am in the vicinity of the cemetery. Between 1936 and 1956, 3,969 people were executed at the walls of the cemetery, including two mayors, a municipal judge, several professors and the rector of the University of Granada. In 1956 Ricardo Beneito Sopena was the last shot at the cemetery.
